Ingredients
Apple Cider Vinegar (Organic)
Organic apple cider vinegar with enzymes and the mother.
- We currently use this in our seasonal Market Day soap.
There are many claims made by soap makers about the benefits of ACV in soap. Personally, we prefer not to make claims about PH, "yoni" soap, acne benefits etc. Most of these claims simply aren't true due to the chemical changes that happen during the saponification process so milage may vary on any perceived benefits. I will say that due to the chemical reaction based on when we add the ACV in our process, our ACV bars seem to be more mild.
Argan Oil
Expeller Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil
- We currently use this in Da Balm
Argan oil almost has too many great properties to list. When we chose it for Da Balm we were looking for a fast absorbing oil that would, condition, protect, and moisturize (and deal with flaky scalp/ skin) both skin and hair without leaving an oily look and feel. In all of our testing we found that it was irreplaceable when it came to those properties. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamin E and has been said to protect against free radicals and premature aging. It seriously is considered a luxury oil for good reason.
